CEEMI Workshop--If you're in Market Square, you're in the band!

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO POSSIBLE INCLEMENT WEATHER ON APRIL 9, 2016. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR RE-SCHEDULING INFORMATION.

CEEMI (Collaborative Experiential Electronic Musical Instrument) is an innovative piece of technology that turns any WiFi compatible device – a smartphone, tablet, desktop or laptop computer – into a collaborative electronic musical instrument on the fly. It was specially designed for musical performances by groups of people without prior musical training. Participants in the CEEMI Workshop will be invited to create a new piece of music together in a safe and fun environment, through the combined usage of CEEMI, simple games and other creative strategies accessible to all. The CEEMI Workshop will be led by Gil Teixeira, CEEMI’s creator and sound programmer,  and will be open to anyone that walks by in Market Square with either a smartphone or a tablet at hand.

Registration for this event is required. Please visit: www.publicartpittsburgh.org to register.
